Oil India launched flagship CSR initiative, Project ‘OIL ASHA’
The MoU for implementation of the project was signed between Oil India Rural Development Society (CSR implementing Society of OIL) and Cuddles Foundation.
Guwahati: Oil India Limited (OIL) launched its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Project ‘OIL ASHA’ at Dr. B Barooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati. This groundbreaking project aims to provide holistic nutritional support to children battling cancer at BBCI, Guwahati, a leading cancer care centre and the only available paediatric oncology department in the Northeast. This launch is even more special as we observe September as the Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
The MoU for implementation of the project was signed between Oil India Rural Development Society (CSR implementing Society of OIL) and Cuddles Foundation. Project ‘OIL ASHA’ underscores OIL’s commitment to community welfare and healthcare, with a specific focus on the well-being of children suffering from cancer.

Read Also : Power Minister inaugurates NTPC Green Hydrogen Mobility Project in LehUnder the Project, the expert nutritionists will counsel and monitor each child’s specific needs along with the preparation of individualized nutrition plans which is essential, as each child may have different responses to treatments and varying nutritional challenges. ‘OIL ASHA’ will provide the children with quality meal supplementation, hot meals in the hospitals, monthly ration bundles for families, care giver education & support as well as tracking and monitoring on customized Food Heals app.
