Odisha minister visited GEM in NTPC Talcher Kaniha

NEW DELHI- The ongoing GEM workshop at Kaniha had the opportunity of welcoming Smt Basanti Hembrum, Hon'ble Minister of State for Women and Child Development and Mission Shakti, Government of Odisha, Shri Mahesh Sahoo, Hon’ble MP, Dhenkanal, Shri Braja Kishore Pradhan, Hon’ble MLA, Talcher, Shri Mukesh Kumar Pal, Hon’ble MLA, Pallahara on May 31.

The visiting dignitaries interacted with the participants of the workshop and encouraged them to make full use of the wonderful opportunity provided by the NTPC GEM workshop to set up ambitious goals in life.

They appreciated the NTPC initiative for providing a learning platform to the girl students, that could make a big difference in the lives of the little GEMs in the future.

Earlier, Shri K S Sundaram,ED Kaniha briefed the Hon’ble minister about the concept and purpose of the GEM program being conducted in all the NTPC Power stations across the country as part of a CSR initiative to empower the community students.
