This is an exceptional achievement by NTPC on its first attempt. Solapur is also the first station in NTPC to go for the NOSA certification audit.
NTPC's Solapur Thermal Power Project achieved 4-Star certification
New Delhi: NTPC’s Solapur Super Thermal Power Project achieved 4-Star certification under the NOSA Integrated Five-Star System. This is an exceptional achievement by NTPC on its first attempt. Solapur is also the first station in NTPC to go for the NOSA certification audit.
The team was led by Shri NS Rao, Head of Department and was guided in the process by Shri Venkata Ravi Ram, Advisor (Safety).
The power plant is one of the coal-based power plants of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPCL), has a planned capacity of 1320 MW (2x660 MW). The first unit of the Solapur Super Thermal power station was commissioned and declared commercial on 25 September 2017.
