Bjpur: In an earnest effort to foster education and empower young women from nearby villages, NTPC Rihand, in association with CISF, organised 3 days of training on Competitive Exam for young girls as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The collaborative program aims to provide specialized training for competitive exams to young women, opening doors to a promising future.

NTPC Rihand successfully culminated the transformative three-day training programme aimed at empowering young girls from neighbouring villages. This initiative, conducted under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign, exemplifies NTPC Rihand's commitment to community development and women's empowerment.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a total of 70 girls, all of whom actively engaged in a comprehensive training programme that aimed to equip them with essential skills and knowledge. This enlightening initiative was organized in collaboration with the CISF Unit of NTPC Rihand, which lent its expertise to provide the participants with a realistic and engaging experience.

The training programme encompassed a diverse range of topics designed to broaden the horizons of the young participants. Highlights of the event included insightful discussions on eligibility criteria for various forces within India, illuminating opportunities available for women in the armed forces, key avoidable mistakes in the competitive exam process, and practical field exercises to enhance physical fitness. Moreover, participants benefited from English language preparation sessions tailored for competitive exams and were inspired by motivational lectures delivered by senior female employees of NTPC Rihand. The importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle to excel in forces or any government examination was also underscored throughout the training.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Pankaj Mediratta, General Manager (O&M) of NTPC Rihand, and Shri Jakir Khan, AGM (HR).
