With this development, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC Group has now reached 76,598.18 MW, according to a regulatory filing.
NTPC Renewable Energy commences 37.50 MW Solar Supply in Gujarat
State power giant NTPC announced on Friday that its subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), has started the commercial supply of electricity from the initial capacity of 37.50 MW out of a total of 200 MW at the Gujarat Solar PV Project in Sadla, effective December 21, 2024.
With this development, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC Group has now reached 76,598.18 MW, according to a regulatory filing.
The filing stated, "The first part capacity of 37.50 MW from the 200 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project in Sadla, Gujarat, operated by NTPC REL, a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd through NTPC Green Energy Ltd, is now in commercial operation as of December 21, 2024."
NTPC aims to achieve 50% of its electricity generation capacity from non-fossil fuel sources by 2032 and plans to reach 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by the same year.
