NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has announced the commercial operation of additional capacities in its solar projects. According to a certificate issued by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on January 9, 2025, the second part capacity of 60 MW from the Bhainsara Solar PV Project commenced commercial operation as of January 7, 2025, as per the filing.

 With a total capacity of 320 MW, this project had already declared its first part capacity of 160 MW operational on August 28, 2024. With this latest addition, the total capacity now in commercial operation stands at 220 MW.

Additionally, the second part capacity of 50 MW from the Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II) in Madhya Pradesh has been declared commercially operational from midnight on January 10, 2025. This project has a total capacity of 220 MW.

The first part capacity of 50 MW was declared operational on September 30, 2024. Following this update, the total capacity in commercial operation for this project has reached 100 MW.
