NTPC Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project set a new record; dispatched 278 Coal Rake
NTPC Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project (PBCMP) has set a new record by dispatching 278 Coal Rake, which is 9,63,935 MT of Coal, (highest in any month) to various Power Plants of NTPC in June 2022.

NEW DELHI- NTPC Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project (PBCMP) has set a new record by dispatching 278 Coal Rake, which is 9,63,935 MT of Coal, (highest in any month) to various Power Plants of NTPC in June 2022.
The new record is achieved with an increase of 70.92 per cent in the dispatch of coal, as in June last year 5,63,940.982 MT of coal was dispatched.
The project dispatched 278 coal rake in June which is 91.72% more than the 145 coal Rake which was dispatched last year in the same month. The conveyor dispatched quantity of coal has also increased by 18.07 per cent which is 71,669 MT in June.
With this, the project achieved another milestone today, as the project has produced 26.06 lakh MT of coal which is more than a 50 per cent increase respect to Coal production in the 1st quarter of the previous year.
The General Manager of the project, Shri Prashant Shrivastava congratulated all the employees on this achievement and said that today every fourth bulb of the country is illuminated by NTPC's electricity and the contribution of our project has been very important in this.
He also said that the team PBCMP has developed a culture of setting hard goals and achieving the goals with team spirit and this achievement is the result of coordinated and sincere efforts of all the departments.
