NTPC North Karanpura, celebrated its 24th NTPC Raising Day with great enthusiasm and gaiety. CGM, Shri Tajendra Gupta unfurled the NTPC flag in august presence of GMs, HODs, employees, families and members of Vasundhara Ladies Club.

NEW DELHI- NTPC North Karanpura, celebrated its 24th NTPC Raising Day with great enthusiasm and gaiety. CGM, Shri Tajendra Gupta unfurled the NTPC flag in august presence of GMs, HODs, employees, families and members of Vasundhara Ladies Club.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tajendra Gupta said that “It is a matter of pride to be a part of India’s largest energy conglomerate, which has played a critical role in catering to the energy needs of a growth-oriented and an energy hungry country. With your dedication and devotion, we have successfully started commercial operation of the 1st unit of 660 MW at North KaranPura on March 1, 2023, with India’s first air-cooled condenser technology that would help in water conservation. The plant will now have a total capacity of 1,980 MW, 3 units of 660 MW each.”
The North Karanpura Project, which is based on one of the most effective supercritical technologies, will shortly provide Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha with commercial electricity. Soon Unit 2 and Unit 3 will join the fleet of generating stations of NTPC and transform itself into an earning station.
He focused upon improvement in cross-functional processes; improving the quantity and quality of our production processes and more thrust to be placed on improving the vibrancy of township premises with the inclusion of children and families in various activities. These building blocks will empower us with more flexibility, competence and confidence to pursue new avenues both within township level and at commercial level.
On the occasion CGM congratulated the employees for completing 24th year of NTPC, Karanpura journey in power generation and express gratitude to all our stakeholders including the Ladies Club, Sports Council, (NKEWA)North KaranPura Employee Welfare Association, people from nearby villages, CISF personnel, our partnering vendors, people representatives, District & Police administration, Media and all other departments for their continued support & guidance.
