An exhibition of new technologies for Safety in HEMM, Blasting etc was also organised for visitors. There was a wave of enthusiasm in the audience regarding the different ongoing events.

NEW DELHI- NTPC Dulanga is celebrating the Annual Mines Safety Fortnight 22-23 from 6th to 19th November 2022 in the aegis of DGMS (Chaibasa & Bhubneswar). Various activities are being conducted on the occasion of the fortnight.  Multi-disciplinary teams led by Shri K K Singh, Chief Manager (Mining) for the mine and VTC team led by C M Mohanta, Chief Manager (Mining)  inspected the mines along with the other 15 members.

Both inspections were done under the observation of members from ISO, MCL Sri Rajeev Kumar, Ch. Mgr (Mining). and Shri V C Thakur, Mgr (Min/ISO).

The session started with a  welcome address to the guests by Shri. Neeraj Jalota, Head of Project, NTPC Dulanga. After this, an elaborated presentation regarding the safety practises adopted at NTPC Dulanga was presented to the inspection team by Shri Rajesh Ranjan, Safety Officer, NTPC Dulanga along with the presentation of different videos related to safety, an in-house Rap Song, a Video showcasing various mock drills including by NDRF was also shown. 

Following the presentation, a Trilingual Book on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was released by HoP, NTPC Dulanga.

The later part of the event was conducted in mines with the mine workers, supervisors and officers of  NTPC Dulanga. The gathering in the mines started with the address of Shri Sadananda Chari U, my Manager, who emphasised the importance of safety and the commitment of NTPC to achieve Zero Harm.  

Shri Binay Kumar, my Agent followed by the address of, my Agent encouraging employees to opt for safe practices and realise the Goal of Zero Harm. Different Awards under various categories including Role Model Safety, Trade Test for Dumper and Dozer, and Safety Song were awarded by the Inspection Team. A Nukkad Natak based on the Importance of Adhering to Safety Rules was also presented.

The event concluded after the plantation by the team members, the Inspection Team highly appreciated the efforts of Dulanga Coal Mines for its safety practises and facilities for workers in mines.
