NTPC CMD inaugurates a Centre for Mine Data Capture, Analysis & Efficiency Improvement
CMD, NTPC commended the intent of creating “The Confluence” and lauded the initiative as a big & important step.
Ranchi: “The Confluence”, Centre for Mine Data Capture, Analysis & Efficiency Improvement was inaugurated at Coal Mining HQ, Ranchi, digitally by Shri Gurdeep Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC on 13th August, 2022 in the august presence of Director (Commercial), Shri C. K. Mondol and RED (Coal Mining), Sh. Partha Mazumder.
CMD and NTPC commended the intent of creating “The Confluence” and lauded the initiative as a big & important step. He said that it now looks small but will go a long way in the days to come for system improvements. He asked the mining team to go far with IT & IoT related improvements for improvised functioning of “The Confluence”.
This center, located at Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi, is presently connected with 3 operating mines: Pakri Barwadih (in Jharkhand), Dulanga (in Odisha) & Talaipalli (in Chhattisgarh), through the real time PTZ cameras installed at various vital locations.
