New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for the Sale Purchase of products (MS, HSD & ATF) post NRL's refinery expansion on 16 February 2023.
The MOU envisages a more than four-fold increase in product upliftment volume by RIL from the current level.
RIL plans to expand its retail marketing network and the additional volumes offered by NRL will provide product security for its network expansion plan. In addition to the prevailing practice of product upliftment by road only, RIL intends to examine the possibility of railway rake evacuation ex-Siliguri Marketing Terminal (SMT) in future.
