NEW DELHI- To mark the132nd birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL, garlanded Dr. Ambedkar’s statue at Pudukkuppam rountana, Neyveli.  Shri K. Mohan Reddy, Director (P&P) & (Power) AC; Shri Samir Swarup, Director (HR); Shri L. Chandrasekar, IFS., CVO, and senior officials, NLCILwere present. 

In his address, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, paid rich tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He said that future generations would not believe that such a person with multifarious qualities ever lived. He also praised Dr. Ambedkar saying that he was an eminent Jurist, Thinker, Philosopher, Historian, Economist, Parliamentarian and a social reformer.

It was because of his caliber that Gandhiji entrusted the challenging task of drafting the Constitution of India to Dr. Ambedkar. He recalled the services of Dr. Ambedkar in the upliftment of marginalized people in the society by providing them the weapon of education.

The best honor that we can bestow on Dr. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary is following his ideals and principles, he said.

On the occasion of “Equality Day”, observed on the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, Shri Prasanna Kumar administered a pledge to the gathering.

Shri S. Balaji, President, Shri K. Selvakumar, General Secretary, Shri Veera. Balu, Treasurer and Shri M Munisekaran, Office Secretary of the NLC SC/ST Employees’ Federation conducted the proceedings of the function. 

Executive Directors, Senior officials, Members of NLC SC/ST Employees’ Welfare Federation, Representatives of Trade Unions & Welfare Associations, employees and public in large number, participated in the celebrations and paid tributes to Dr. Ambedkar.
