NLCIL inaugurates infrastructural facilities for NLC Boys Higher Secondary school
The Arch contains an inscription of 60 couplets from Thriukkural and was constructed at an expenditure of Rs.6.5 Lakhs from NLCIL’s CSR fund.
Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL, inaugurated infrastructural facilities for the NLC Boys Higher Secondary school at Block-10, Neyveli Township.
A Multi Gym facility, created in the Sports Hostel for the benefit of the sports students of NLC Boys Higher Secondary, Neyveli was inaugurated by the CMD on 26.02.2024. The school’s Sports Hostel, which started functioning from 1987, has now a strength of 80 students selected from all over the State by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT).
Apart from providing the best coaching in Hockey, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Athletics etc., this additional facility created in their sports hostel will provide the sports students the proper fitness to their physique.

This facility would provide the students of the school a great opportunity for the best learning and facilitate them in performing well in their examinations.
Since the entire chunk of the students of NLC Boys Higher Secondary school are from the nearby villages and the sports students are from various parts of Tamilnadu, both the facilities were provided to the school through the NLCIL’s CSR fund at the cost of Rs 9.00 lakhs and Rs. 9.50 lakhs respectively, to improve the performance of the sports students as well as to provide quality education to all the students of the school.
