NHPC declares final dividend for FY23-24
NHPC hosted its 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 28th August 2024, through video conferencing from its Corporate Office, Faridabad. The members of the company inter-alia considered proposal for declaration of final dividend of Rs 0.50/- per equity share for the year 2023-24, which is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 1.40 /- per equity share paid in March 2024.
Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC addressed the shareholders at the AGM wherein members of NHPC Board including Shri R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), and Independent Directors Dr. Uday Sakharam Nirgudkar, Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kansal, Prof. (Dr.) Rashmi Sharma Rawal, Shri Jiji Joseph, Shri Premkumar Goverthanan and Smt. Rupa Deb, Company Secretary, NHPC were also present.

Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC said that, “Hydropower plays a great role in balancing the grid and meeting the peak demand”. He further added that NHPC is actively constructing hydro and renewable energy projects of more than 10000 MW installed capacity which included 2880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project, 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric project and 800 MW Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project. CMD, NHPC also said that NHPC is committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions by overcoming substantial challenges.
Various queries of members regarding performance of the Company were also addressed at the AGM.
