A Power Purchase Agreement was signed between NHPC and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd at Vadodara on 27.6.24 for setting up a 200 MW Solar PV project at GSECL Khavda Solar Park & further sale of power to GUVNL for 25 years from the date of the agreement.
A power Purchase Agreement (PPA) often refers to a long-term electricity supply agreement between two parties, usually between a power producer and a customer (an electricity consumer or trader).
Earlier, to secure the state's energy future against the rising demand, the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) and the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on June 25, 2024.
