New Delhi: NCRTC, in collaboration with Airtel Payments Bank, has launched Namo Bharat NCMC-enabled cards for convenient travel on Namo Bharat trains and everyday transactions. These contactless cards provide seamless connectivity with public transport and can be used for retail purchases, enhancing the travel experience under the ‘One Nation, One Card initiative.

The cards were launched at the NCRTC corporate office by key executives, highlighting the initiative’s significance in promoting seamless connectivity and payment convenience for commuters.

The NCMC cards support the ‘One Nation, One Card’ initiative, simplifying travel across multiple transport systems like metros, railways, and buses.

The 42 km section of the corridor between Sahibabad and Meerut South is operational, serving 9 stations. Full corridor, including Meerut Metro, is expected to be operational by June 2025.

NCRTC has implemented various initiatives like QR-ticketing integration with DMRC and IRCTC for easy travel on Namo Bharat trains.

Shri Shalabh Goel Managing Director, NCRTC has said, “NCRTC’s collaboration with Airtel Payments Bank to launch the Namo Bharat NCMC card marks a significant step in our ongoing efforts towards ensuring seamless connectivity across the region. With this all-in-one card, commuters can travel conveniently across India’s first RRTS and other public transit systems, while also managing utility and retail payments. This initiative underscores our dedication to efficiently transform the daily commutes, and ultimately help improve the quality of life for people.”
