NCL inked an MOU with MSTC Ltd
NCL is targeting a whooping 410 Million Cubic Meter Removal of Overburden in FY 2022-23.
New Delhi: NCL inked an MOU with MSTC Ltd, a Govt of India PSU on Wednesday for auctioning of Overburden (OB) and its Products. Overburden is the material required to remove for coal excavation in opencast coal mines.
NCL is targeting a whooping 410 Million Cubic Meter Removal of Overburden in FY 2022-23.
This new unique initiative has been taken by NCL for gainful utilization of removed OB. The company has set up a pilot project on segregating Sand @1000Cum/day from the overburden and will commission it soon.
NCL is also exploring the possibility of Alternative utilization of OB material from business diversification point of view.
