New Delhi: Singrauli-based coal-producing, Miniratna company Northern Coalfields Limited Director (Technical/Project & Planning) Sunil Prasad Singh inspects the Dudhichua Project, reviewing production, dispatch & plans. Senior officials from HQ and the Dudhichua project accompany him.
He visited to enhance productivity, & optimize operational efficiency with safety and sustainability.

The Dudhichua coal mine, an opencast mine operated by Northern Coalfields Limited (a subsidiary of Coal India) in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, India, had a 2 million tonne expansion plan in 2018. However, a 2021 Right to Information (RTI) request revealed that the mine is not currently listed as an active new mine project by the Government of India. It's unclear if the proposed expansion was implemented.
