Modi Govt approved number of CMDs/Directors appointments in PSUs

New Delhi: Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved various board level (CMD/Directors) appointments on 5 Sept 2021.

Shri Nirlep Singh Rai as CMD in NFL

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Fertilizers for the appointment of Shri Nirlep Singh Rai, Director (Technical), National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) to the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of NFL, with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e. 31.08.2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri T. Saminathan as CMD in KIOCL Limited

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Steel for appointment of Shri T. Saminathan, Director (Commercial), KIOCL Limited as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) in KIOCL Limited from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. 31 .05.2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Sajeev B as CMD in HOCL

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals for the appointment of Shri Sajeev B, Chief General Manager, Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL) to the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), HOCL, with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e. 31.05.2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Siba Prasad Mohanty as CMD in BVFCL

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Fertilizers for the appointment of Shri Siba Prasad Mohanty, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), HIL (India) Limited to the post of CMD, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) in the scale of pay of Rs. 75,000-90,0001- (pre-revised), with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post on or after 01.10.2021 till the date of his superannuation, i.e., 31.05.2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri SL Tripathy as CMD in United India Insurance Company Limited

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Financial Services for appointment of Shri SL Tripathy(recommended by BBB as candidate for the Reserve List for the vacancy of CMD, UIICL), General Manager & Director, New India Assurance Company Limited (NIACL) as Chairman[1]cum- Managing Director (CMD), United India Insurance Company Limited (UllCL), with effect from the date of assumption of charge of office and up to the date of his attaining the age of superannuation (i.e. 29.02.2024), or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ms. Harsha Bhupendra Bangari as Managing Director (MD) in Exim Bank

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the  Department of Financial Services for appointment of Ms. Harsha Bhupendra Bangari, Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) as Managing Director (MD), Exim Bank for a period of 3 years, from the date of her taking over  charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier which is extendable based on her performance by upto two (02) years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Pankaj Kumar as Director (Offshore) in ONGC

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for the appointment of Shri Pankaj Kumar, Executive Director, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) to the post of Director (Offshore) in ONGC, with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e. 30.06.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Prabir Kumar Gangopadhyay as Director (Personnel & Administration) in SCI

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways for the appointment of Shri Prabir Kumar Gangopadhyay, General Manager, Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) to the post of Director (Personnel & Administration) in SCI with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e. 30.11.2022, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Baidyanath Maharana as Director (Finance) in NEEPCO Limited

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Power for appointment of Shri Baidyanath Maharana, Chief General Manager (Finance), North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) Limited as Director (Finance) in NEEPCO Limited for a period of five years from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
