NEW DELHI- On 29.12.2022, Hon'ble Minister of State for Coal, Mines and Railways Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve held a performance review meeting of Western Coalfields Limited (WCOLI). Coal production, coal dispatch and coal supply to power plants and other main points were discussed in detail in the meeting. During the review, he appreciated the work of WCL.

In the review meeting, Honorable Minister Mr. Danve emphasized on coal production and quick dispatch as per coal requirements. Referring to the increasing coal demand of the country, he asked to open new mines, use latest technology and make proper adjustment of manpower. He instructed the senior officers to work actively in the direction of solving the basic problems faced in coal mining.

Honorable Minister of State said that the Government of India and the Ministry of Coal are ready to provide all kinds of cooperation and assistance to WCL. It is our responsibility to meet the coal requirement of the country.

Earlier CMD Mr. Manoj Kumar welcomed the Honorable Minister of State for Coal, Mines and Railways Mr. Raosaheb Patil Danve. In the meeting, Mr. Manoj Kumar gave detailed information to the Honorable Minister about the company's performance, plans, achievements and challenges through power point presentation.

On this occasion, Director (Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director Technical (Planning/Project) Mr. AK Singh and Chief Vigilance Officer Mr. Ajay Mhatre, Head of Department and senior officers were prominently present.

It is noteworthy that in the financial year 2022-23, the company has registered progressive progress in coal production, dispatch and OB removal as compared to the previous year till date.
