Minister of PNG eyes on Haldia Refinery complex, refinery of Indian Oil

West Bengal: Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas had a bird’s eye view of the state-of-the-art Haldia Refinery complex. The refinery situated at the confluence of river Hooghly and Haldi is one among the refineries of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. that produces world-class Lube Oil Base Stocks. In the background is the Fuel Oil Block. 

Extremely proud to share that one of the crude tanks contains crude extracted from the Ashokenagar oilfields. Bengal was added to the oil map of India this December with the commencement of commercial production of oil & gas.

The 8 MMTPA capacity Haldia refinery is playing a vital role in supplying petroleum products to the eastern parts of the country, strengthening the energy security of our country and in PM Narendra Modi Ji's AatmaNirbharBharat initiative.

Shri Pradhan said, "Interaction with colleagues is always refreshing while also throwing up unique perspectives. Caught up with these energy soldiers at the Haldia refinery. Their passion, zeal, and commitment is behind a billion contended smiles and fulfilled aspirations of our nation."

He further added, happy to share that all the colleagues —workmen, officers, and senior management are working devotedly to further establish the Haldia refinery as one of the best refineries and a major petroleum hub of the world.
