NEW DELHI- SAKSHAM 2023 was inaugurated at CPCL by Mr. Arvind Kumar, Managing Director on 24th April at CPCL Manali, in the presence of Mr. Rohit Kumar Agrawala, Director (Finance), Mr.J T Venkateswarlu, Chief Vigilance Officer, along with Senior Officials and employees of CPCL.
MD inaugurated the event by administering the Oil & Gas Conservation Pledge to the gathering. The theme for this year event is “Energy Conservation towards Net Zero”.

However, with the recent developments in the abatement of climate risk, energy conservation has twined with net zero and have been an essential step in developing an overall decarbonisation plan.
“Conservation through improved energy efficiency can be considered as first step towards Net Zero, as it provides some of the quickest and most cost-effective CO2 mitigation options while strengthening energy security”- he added.

Oil & Gas Conservation Awareness Drive (SAKSHAM 2023) is observed for a period of two weeks from 24th April to 8th May as per the directives of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) to create awareness among the masses about Conservation of Oil and Gas.
