State-run Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd announced the receipt of a purchase order from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd (MAHAGENCO) for the supply, installation, and commissioning of an AI-based "comprehensive insecure project."

"This is to inform that Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd (MAHAGENCO) has placed a Purchase Order on Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd for the supply Installation and Commissioning of AI-based Comprehensive Infrasecure Project at GTPS-Uran and KGSC-Pophali at a total price of Rs 121.7 crore, including all taxes and duties," according to a stock exchange filing.

The total contract value is approximately Rs 121.68 crore, inclusive of all taxes and duties. The project will be implemented at two locations: GTPS-Uran and KGSC-Pophali.

In addition to the initial project scope, Mazagon Dock will also provide annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for the installed items after the first year. The company is expected to complete the execution of the order by October 10, 2025.

Shares of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd ended at Rs 4,431.10, up by Rs 344.95, or 8.44%, on the BSE.
