Manish Raj Gupta to be next Director Technical, Projects and Raw Materials of SAIL
Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Works) at SAIL's IISCO Steel Plant.
Manish Raj Gupta is set to be the next Director (Technical, Projects & Raw Materials) of the Steel Authority of India (SAIL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday.
Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Works) at SAIL's IISCO Steel Plant.
Gupta has been recommended for the post from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on September 19. Out of 12 candidates, 10 candidates were from SAIL itself and one each from Hindustan Copper Limited and MECON Limited.

He will ensure the effective adoption of the latest technologies and operational strategies, and project management capabilities for efficient, optimum, and smooth implementation of the projects. He will also be responsible for the formulation and ensuring the implementation of the safety guidelines of the company.
