LG Manoj Sinha with Power Minister reviews Power Sector in J&K
During the meeting, Shri Manoj Sinha sought additional power supply to address a 1,380 MW deficit expected during the winter season.
New Delhi/Jammu and Kashmir: In a meeting held in New Delhi yesterday, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, met with the Hon'ble Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R. K. Singh, to review the Power Sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Shri Manoj Sinha sought additional power supply to address a 1,380 MW deficit expected during the winter season.
Shri Singh assured that steps would be taken to fill the gap from the central pool and ensure adequate power supply to the people of J&K.

Additional allocation of 1400 MW is done by the Central Govt from various Central Generating Stations to meet the above demand. This allocation will be available till March'24.
