L&T Limited’s Minerals and Metals business has secured large orders worth up to Rs. 5,000 crore from Hindalco for setting up an 850 KTPA greenfield alumina refinery plant in Odisha.
The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation. The large-cap stock engaged in EPC projects, hi-tech manufacturing, and services across multiple sectors, in focus after securing orders worth up to Rs. 5000 crore from Hindalco for setting up a greenfield alumina refinery plant in Odisha.
The company has been a trusted partner of Hindalco for over 30 years, supporting its growth in alumina, aluminum, and copper. Additionally, L&T will build an 8 MTPA pellet plant for a leading Indian steel producer.

These initiatives bolster L&T's position as a leader in EPC for alumina refineries and steel plants. With a 53 percent YoY growth, Larsen and Toubro recorded its highest-ever order inflow of Rs. 1,16,000 crore in Q3 FY25.
Orders totaling Rs. 98,700 crore were placed by the projects and manufacturing division, increasing by 64% year over year. As of December 2024, the company's total order value is Rs. 5,64,200 crore. With advantages of Rs. 300 crores, L&T Energy Green Tech was approved for a 90,000 MTPA green hydrogen capacity under the PLI plan.
