Shri Karunakar Das takes charge as Chief General Manager, NTPC Bongaigaon
Shri Das joined NTPC as an Executive Trainee in the year 1986 and served in various areas which include Operation and Maintenance, Fuel Handling, and Fuel Management of power plants.
New Delhi: Shri Karunakar Das today took charge as the Chief General Manager, NTPC Bongaigaon with effect from 3rd October 2022.
A B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from NIT Rourkela, Shri Das has rich and varied experience in handling key portfolios at NTPC Korba, Unchahar, Talcher Thermal, Talcher Kaniha, and Farakka.
Shri Das joined NTPC as an Executive Trainee in the year 1986 and served in various areas which include Operation and Maintenance, Fuel Handling, and Fuel Management of power plants.
Prior to joining NTPC Bongaigaon Shri Das was heading NTPC Farakka as Chief General Manager (O&M). As head of the power station, Shri Karunakar Das will coordinate all activities of NTPC Bongaigaon, Assam generating 750 MW (3x250 MW).
In his illustrious career in NTPC, Shri Das has undergone various training on safety, power plant efficiency, O&M practices, human resources and commercial aspects of NTPC.
