For assessing preparedness in case of emergencies, a joint mock drill was conducted at the Gas and Power Plant of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Bhopal, by NDRF, CISF and BHEL, Bhopal.

NEW DELHI- For assessing preparedness in case of emergencies, a joint mock drill was conducted at the Gas and Power Plant of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Bhopal, by NDRF, CISF and BHEL, Bhopal.
Trained teams coordinated with each other and began relief and rescue operations on a war footing as soon as information about the leakage of LPG from the Gas and Power Plant was received through a siren. As part of the drill, the rescue team swung into action & evacuated 03 persons trapped at the spot, giving them first aid at the First Aid Care Centre set up by NDRF.
After the mock drill, officials of NDRF Bhopal, CISF-Fire and related departments of BHEL, Bhopal, gathered at the assembly point where a detailed discussion was held on the shortcomings found during the drill and improvement measures to be taken.
