The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop S.A.M.V.I.D. (Smart Assistant for Museum Visitors and Interactive Displays), a semi-humanoid guide robot for India’s First Constitution Museum & The Rights and Freedoms Academy at the JGU campus in Sonipat, Haryana.

This collaboration marks the celebration of 75 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution and aims to enhance visitor engagement using advanced technology.

By partnering with IIT Madras, JGU will incorporate cutting-edge design, robotics, and bespoke hardware to create an immersive museum experience that brings history to life. The museum will be inaugurated on November 26, 2024, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India.

The S.A.M.V.I.D. project will leverage advanced language models to create an interactive visitor experience, offering guided tours and detailed insights into the exhibits, including profiles of each member of the Constituent Assembly and their key contributions to the Constitution. This collaboration marks a significant advancement in integrating technology into educational and cultural experiences.
