New Delhi: An Indian Government frm, Indian Oil Corporation Limited contributed the best for construction of the 340.8 km long, 6-lane wide which is expandable to 8 the Purvanchal Expressway.

The corporation that has the largest customer interface in India is the major supplier of Bitumen & Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen (CRMB) for the 341-km long expressway constructed at an est. cost of Rs 22500 crore. 


However, the corporation's energy vision is integrated which leads to made it the highest-ranked Indian Energy PSU. Commenting on this the company said, "IndianOil is proud to have partnered Uttar Pradesh   Expressways Industrial Development Authority for construction of the landmark Purvanchal Expressway. The Corporation was a major supplier of Bitumen & Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen (CRMB) for the 341-km long expressway constructed at an est. cost of Rs 22500 crore."

 

It also added, Approximately 1 lakh tyres were recycled for producing CRMB & 3200 MT of carbon dioxide emissions were reduced in the process. The Purvanchal Expressway is six-lane wide and can be expanded to eight lanes in the future.

Purvanchal Expressway is a 340.8 km long, 6-lane wide controlled expressway in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The expressway connects Chand Saray village near Gosainganj in Lucknow district with Haydaria village on NH-31 in Ghazipur district. It is developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). The construction work was started by the UPEIDA on 10 October 2018 and was inaugurated and opened to the public on 16 November 2021 inaugurated by Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi.
