IndianOil Launches STORM-X Racing Fuel at Madras International Circuit

Oil PSU major Indian Oil has announced the launch of STORM-X, a high-octane racing fuel tailored for racing cars, at the Madras International Circuit during the Indian National Car Racing Championship. This groundbreaking initiative was ideated and inspired by Mr. Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman, IndianOil.

The introduction of premium racing fuels stands as a symbol of IndianOil’s relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence, strengthening the company’s position as a pioneer in advanced fuel technology.

This landmark event also celebrates the strategic partnership agreement signed between IndianOil and the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), aimed at revolutionising motorsports in India.

The event was graced by Mr. V Satish Kumar, Director (Marketing), IndianOil who officially launched STORM-X by unveiling the Brand LOGO in the presence of Mr. Alok Sharma, Director (R&D), IndianOil, and the office bearers of MMSC, including Mr. Ajit Thomas – president, Mr. Prabha Shankar, Secretary and Mr. Vicky Chandhoke – Vice President from MMSC. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, as IndianOil will supply race fuels and lubricants, and provide branding for venue and vehicle during the Indian National Racing Championships (INRC).

Earlier to uplift the lives of prison inmates and juveniles, Mr Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, Chairman, IndianOil launched Phase VIII of IndianOil’s ‘Parivartan - Prison to Pride’ and Phase V of ‘Nayi Disha - Smile for Juvenile’ today. In this phase, IndianOil will touch the lives of over 1000 individuals across 22 prisons and juvenile homes.

With this roll-out, IndianOil is set to transform the lives of over 7300 inmates and juveniles across 150 institutions, including 15 female juvenile centers, offering sports coaching and equipment across 23 States and 6 Union Territories.

The initiative has also received the Sportstar Aces Chairperson Award 2023 for sports for social good and the prestigious Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for Thought Leadership. It was also acknowledged by the World Chess Federation (FIDE) at the Chess for Freedom Conference at Chicago in 2023.

IndianOil Chairman, Mr Shrikant Madhav Vaidya was bestowed with the prestigious title of “Friend of FIDE” by the World Chess Federation (FIDE). This award recognises IndianOil’s valuable contribution to FIDE Chess for Freedom programme and promotion of sports as a tool for social transformation in India.
