Indian Overseas Bank Honoured with Rajbhasha Kirti Pratham Puraskar
This recognition underscores Indian Overseas Bank's commitment to promoting the use of Hindi and enhancing the implementation of official language policies across its operations
On the auspicious occasion of Hindi Day Celebrations and the Diamond Jubilee of Official Language, celebrated on September 14, Indian Overseas Bank has been awarded the prestigious Rajbhasha Kirti First Prize in the Official Language Implementation category for the year 2023-24. The award ceremony took place at the internationally renowned Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The award was presented to Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank. It's a pride moment for Indian Overseas Bank that for second consecutive year, Bank has received Rajbhasha Kirti First Prize. In a momentous highlight of the event, the book 'Bhasha Sangam,' produced by the bank, was released by the Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Shri Amit Shah. IOB has published the said book for their employees to learn 19 scheduled Indian languages from Hindi.
Expressing his joy and pride, Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava, MD & CEO, Indian Overseas Bank stated, “This honour is a matter of pride for our bank.
