IGL signs an MOU with Baker Hughes in Houston
Baker Hughes is one of the world's largest oil field services companies, while IGL being a pioneer CGD company, which provides safe, convenient and reliable natural gas supply to automobile, domestic and industrial consumers.
New Delhi: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), a JV of BPCL and GAIL, signed an MOU with Baker Hughes, today in Houston, USA, in presence of Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Urban Affairs, as part of the US India strategic clean energy partnership.
Shri Arun Kumar Singh, C&MD, BPCL who is also Chairman, IGL, was present too.
Baker Hughes is one of the world's largest oil field services companies, while IGL being a pioneer CGD company, which provides safe, convenient and reliable natural gas supply to automobile, domestic and industrial consumers. The clean energy collaboration between these two companies will improve efficiency and reduce emissions from IGL’s operations, and will further strengthen its capacity building for sustainability development and improve its ESG ratings performance.
Through the US - India Strategic Clean Energy Partnership, two countries are proactively addressing the multiple crises, that the world faces, through regular consultations on global energy markets, efforts to strengthen collective energy security, and deepening technical engagement to support economy-wide decarbonisation.
