Hindi Fortnight Celebrations inaugurated at NLCIL

Neyveli: Government of India promulgated implementation of Official Language Act on 14th September, 1949. To mark this occasion, Hindi Diwas, is being celebrated every year in all Central Government Offices and in Govt. of India undertakings.
 
Hindi Day was observed on 13.09.2019 at NLCIL. Shri Hemant Kumar, Executive Director (Mines), NLCIL inaugurated the Hindi Fortnight celebrations at the Learning and Development centre, Block-20, on 13/09/2019. In his chief guest address, he appreciated the compliance of Official Language in NLCIL and indicated that  NLCIL is the recipient of awards continuously from Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Puducherry.
 
Further he stated that NLCIL is helping its employees to learn Hindi through correspondence and regular courses, workshops and spoken Hindi classes. He appreciated that many employees have participated in various Hindi Competitions being conducted during the Hindi Fortnight. He further expressed his happiness over the overwhelming response from the employees in this regard during the inaugural function.
 
Like every year, NLCIL celebrated this event in a grand manner this year too. A large number of enthusiastic participants took part in the inaugural function. The gathering was welcomed by Shri N. Sankar, Chief General Manager (HR).
 
The messages of Shri Amit Shah, Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs and Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Minister of Parliament Affairs, Coal and Mines were read out on the occasion.Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest to the employees who secured top Three places in the various Hindi Correspondence and Regular Courses and the programme got completed with the vote of thanks by Hindi Officer.
