HDFC s Helping Hand for Flood Affected Bihar
New Delhi: HDFC Bank plans to adopt 15 schools in the flood-hit state of Bihar as part of its long term relief & rehabilitation efforts. The Bank also donated Rs 4 crore to the CM Relief Fund to help people in the state recover.
The Bank is working with Bihar state to set up medical camps, distribute emergency food supplies and support local schools by rebuilding of drinking water and sanitation facilities.
Shri Nusrat Pathan, Head, Corporate Social Responsibility, HDFC Bank, said 'We stand with the people of Bihar in this time of distress. We are looking at the refurbishment of schools damaged by the flood so that children can continue with their education as soon as possible. This is a small token of our effort to help bring back normalcy to the lives of the flood-affected people.'
