Gujarat state discom GUVNL acquires 7.28% stake in Torrent Power
The Gujarat government has an equity holding of 1.47% in Torrent Power, while the Gujarat State Financial Services Ltd. has 9.75%.
Electricity regulation board Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) acquired a nearly 7.3% stake in Torrent Power, the integrated power utility of the diversified Torrent Group, an exchange filing.
The Gujarat government has an equity holding of 1.47% in Torrent Power, while the Gujarat State Financial Services Ltd. has 9.75%.
As one of India’s leading power sector companies, Torrent Power, with a market capitalization of Rs 27,183 crore and part of the Rs 41,000-crore Torrent Group, operates across the entire power value chain, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
