The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has given its approval for the appointments of as many as 35 Joint Secretary-level officers

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following appointments of officers at Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent level:-

Mr Franklin L Khobung (IFoS, GJ:1998) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms Namita J Priyadarshee (IFoS RJ:1989).

Shri Pankaj Yadav (IAS, HY:2001) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms Shomita Biswas (IFoS, MH:1988).

Shri Rahul Sharma (IAS, JH:1998) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri D Senthil Pandiyan (IAS, UD:2002).

Deepak Mishra (lFoS, KL:1996) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petro-Chemicals, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Kashi Nath Jha IP&TA&FS (1994).

Ms. Indu C Nair (IRAS, 2001) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of seven years up-to 11/04/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by temporarily upgrading the post of Director held by the officer, to be further adjustable against a regular vacancy of Joint Secretary in the Department.

Shri Gurmeet Singh Chawla (IRAS, 1998) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Partha Sarthi Sensharma (IAS UP:94).

Ms Mugdha Sinha (IAS, RJ:1999) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Madnesh Kumar Mishra (IRS, IT:1990).

Shri Ajay Kumar (IAS, GJ:2006) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 14/07/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Sanjai Singh (ICAS, 1993).

Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo (IAS, UT:2006) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of seven years upto 16/12/2023 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Arun Baroka (IAS, UT:90).

Shri D Senthil Pandiyan (IAS, UD:2002) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Earth Sciences, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 23/05/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Indira Murthy (CSS).

Shri Hanish Chhabra (IAS, TN:2006) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of seven years upto 14/12/2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms Manisha Sinha (IPoS, 1992).

Ms Surbhi Jain (IES, 2001) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 09/08/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Anand Mohan Bajaj (IA&AS 90).

Shri Ajay Bhadoo (IAS, GJ:1999) appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India (ECI), from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 24/07/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Chandra Bhushan Kumar (IAS UT:95).

Shri Akash Tripathi (IAS MP:1998) appointed as CEO of MyGov, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Abhishek Singh (IAS, NL:95).

Shri Satyajit Mishra (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to his superannuation on 31/05/2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Jigmet Takpa (IFoS, JK:1990).

Shri Mukesh Kumar Bansal (IAS, CG:2005) appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 10/03/2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms Vandita Kaul (IPoS, 1989).

Ms TJ Kavitha (IFoS, RJ:2000) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms Mukta Shekhar (IRAS, 1994).

Appointment of Shri Sachin Mittal (IPoS, 2000) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of seven years upto 21/06/2023 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Vikas Sheel (IAS, CG:94).

Shri Manashvi Kumar (IAS, PB: 2004) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 14/03/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms Padmaja Singh (CSS).

Basant Garg (IAS PB:2005) appointed as Additional CEO of the National Health Authority under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 10/09/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, against an existing vacancy.

Shri Hanif Qureshi (IPS, HY:1996) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms Nidhi Chhibber (lAS CG:94).

Shri Ravi Kumar Arora (IAS GJ:2006) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 04/08/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Ved Prakash (IRSE).

Shri Deepak Agarwal (IAS UP:2000) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh (IDAS: 1994).

Shri Rahul Jam (IAS, MP:2005) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Investment & Public Asset Management (DIPAM), from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 03/11/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri D Bhatnagar (IRS, lT:88).

Shri Rupesh Kumar Thakur (IAS, UT:2006) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 11/03/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Ajay Tewari (lAS, AM:93).

Ms Nandita Gupta (IAS, HP:2001) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour & Employment, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 14/12/2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri RK Gupta (CSS).

Ms Farida Mahmood Naik (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Satendra Singh (IAS, JH:1995).

Shri Ajay Yadav (IAS, BH:2005) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 11/12/2022, which is further extendable for two years on availability of Cadre Clearance or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Director in the Ministry to Joint Secretary level vice Ms Vandana Kumar (IDAS, 1992).

Shri Rajat Kumar (IAS, CG:2005) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined tenure of five years upto 21/08/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ms Priyanka Basu lngty (IAS, HP:2004) appointed as Regional Director (JS level), SSC, Kolkata under the Department of Personnel & Training, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of seven years upto 03/04/2023 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by temporarily upgrading the post of Regional Director (Director level), SSC, Kolkata held by the officer to Joint Secretary level.

Shri Mohammad Afzal (CPES, 1995) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Power, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Vishal Kapoor (IRSME, 1995).

Shri Amit Shukla (IFoS, TR:1999) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up-to 01/06/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Biswajit Banerjee (IFoS, UP:1991).

Ms Indira Murthy (CSS) appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure up to her superannuation on 30/04/2023 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Surendra Singh (IAS, JH:93).

Shri Lochan Sehra (IAS, GJ:2002) appointed as Joint Secretary in the IN-SPACe, Ahmedabad, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
