Girl Empowerment Mission 2022 at NTPC Farakka

New Delhi: Shri Sital Kumar, RED ER-1 graced the occasion by being the chief guest on the occasion. Shri Sanjiv Kumar, GGM Farakka, Smt. Maya Singh, President ULC and Chief Guest RED ER1, together they lit the auspicious lamp, marking the beginning of this wonderful initiative.

Shri Ziaur Rahman, HOHR welcomed the dignitaries, parents and children, and gave an overview of the GEM program. Smt. Maya Singh motivated the students and said that GEM would help them to identify their potential and talent. 120 students from 24 schools of Malda, Murshidabad and Sahibganj districts are participating in this year’s Girl Empowerment Mission at NTPC Farakka.

The inauguration program saw a beautiful performance by students of Bal Bhawan, Udita Ladies Club and Executive trainees. GGM Farakka addressed the gathering, inspiring the young minds to learn, to see dreams and to work for making them come true.

Chief guest, Shri Sital Kumar, RED ER1 praised the efforts of GGM and all the employees of NTPC Farakka for organizing this noble initiative. He encouraged the parents to see the potential in their girl child, and to help them follow a career of their own liking.
