Giridhar Aramane, Defence Secy visited BEL to discuss ongoing and futuristic projects

Bangalore: Mr Giridhar Aramane, IAS, Defence Secretary, GoI, visited the Bangalore Complex of Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and had discussions with BEL senior Management about ongoing and futuristic projects.

Mr Giridhar Aramane was taken around the factory, BEL's Product Development & Innovation Centre and Central Research Laboratory by Mr Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, CMD, and Mr Vinay Kumar Katyal, Director (Bangalore Complex), and shown the state-of-the-art manufacturing and test facilities

Recently the company signed MOU to develop business for state-of-the-art, electro-mechanical bollards for use in various Defence, Homeland Security, Paramilitary and export projects, and two contracts worth Rs. 2,696 Cr with the Ministry of Defence, Government of India to bolster the defence capabilities of the country.
