GAIL, the leading natural gas company in India, has launched a new initiative called "GAIL Abha" to support the entrepreneurial aspirations of spouses of its employees in remote locations.

NEW DELHI- GAIL, the leading natural gas company in India, has launched a new initiative called "GAIL Abha" to support the entrepreneurial aspirations of spouses of its employees in remote locations. The initiative was rolled out at GAIL Vijaipur, with Smt. Monika Gupta and Shri Ayush Gupta, Director (HR) of GAIL, led the launch.
The aim of the GAIL Abha initiative is to encourage spouses of GAIL employees in remote locations to develop innovative ideas and evaluate their value proposition through entrepreneurial workshops and boot camps.
The best ideas will be shortlisted through a series of presentations, and the selected participants will then undergo 21 weeks of rigorous guidance and mentoring by expert faculty to help them turn their ideas into viable business opportunities.

Read Also : Alok Kumar Sharma assumes charge as ED (NR-1), PowerGridDuring the 21-week period, participants will receive fortnightly handholding sessions, mentorship, and assistance on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including applying for seed funding, registering their firms, and availing facilitation schemes like the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS).
To ensure the success of the initiative, GAIL's GTI Noida has tied up with IIT Madras to provide education, mentoring, and handholding support to the spouses of GAIL employees at Pata, Dibiyapur, and Vijaipur initially.
