"For me indianoil is way more than just a workplace" said Chairman S M Vaidya

New Delhi: The Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Mr S M Vaidya shares his thoughts on completing 36 years in the company. Describing his journey in Indian Oil he shares some valuable and emotional things related to his 36 years of hardwork, growth and learning.
 

"IndianOil is a great company"

"Did you know that 36 is a triangular number, meaning it can be arranged in the shape of an equilateral triangle? Such a number symbolises balance, harmony and innovation- a trinity I found at IndianOil. You would often hear me saying, "IndianOil is a great company". I never use these words lightly. For me IndianOil is way more than just a workplace; it's been a sanctuary that allowed me to learn & grow and work for a cause bigger than myself. It's where I found an equilibrium, nestled in the triangle of memories, achievements, and challenges. And for that, I will be forever grateful.

All these years, I was privileged to work alongside some of the most brilliant and dedicated minds. It was here that we worked together to create an energy behemoth that serves India with pride. IndianOil has been a great school of life where the sky truly has been the limit. It's here that the confluence of passion, perseverance and purpose has made a difference.

The privilege to lead this mighty organisation and the incredible teams is an honour that I hold close to my heart. Looking back, it feels incredible that the proverbial fire in the belly, which I felt on Day 1 at IndianOil, continues to shine bright even today. I wake up with a renewed sense of purpose every day, ready to take on the world and work harder than I did yesterday. This Company deserves nothing less than our very best. This burning passion and zeal have been a part of my mind and soul for 36 amazing years. For me, IndianOil is a way of life, a way of being. This Company has indeed defined me.

Let me take a moment to express my utmost appreciation to all the former and current IOCians, our energy soldiers whose unfaltering support and unparalleled dedication have made this journey of mine a real heart-warmer. When I think of IndianOil, I see the faces of thousands of IOCians, whose sweat and passion breathe life into this organisation day in and day out. Together, we've braved the roughest of seas, conquered mountains, and surpassed every obstacle in our path. We've embraced changes, innovated tirelessly, and excelled in everything we set our hearts and minds to. Today, our commitment to sustainability and our Net Zero ambition bear witness to our unyielding devotion to leaving a profound and positive mark on the world. It also speaks volumes about our passion, determination, and love for our great nation.

So, here's to 36 years of hard work, laughter, learning, and growth - and may we continue to make a profound and positive impact on this world with IndianOil".
