EPFO announces to simplify updation process for personal profile, here to know steps
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced a simpler process for members to update their personal profile. This change is expected to benefit nearly 3.9 lakh members with a pending request. Now members can update their personal details like name, gender, date of birth, nationality and marital status without the need to submit any documents.

According to a government release, 27% of the member grievances are related to profile/ KYC (Know Your Customer) issues. With the implementation of the revised profile update functionality, a reduction in the number of member grievances filed in the future is expected. Earlier, changes in personal information required verification from the employer, causing delays of up to 28 days.
