Employee of Vizag-Steel bagged PM Sharm Award
Visakhapatnam: Four employees of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant brought national laurels to the organization by bagging 'Prime Minister’s Shram Awards' for the year 2017 for their outstanding contribution both at the workplace and in the society.
The proud employees are Shri Polamarasetty Raju, Senior Foreman, Wire Rod Mill,
Mr. V Venkateswar Rao, General Foreman, Steel melt Shop-1,
Mr. M Subrahmanya Kumar, Senior Foreman, Steel Melt Shop-1 under Shram Vir category and
Shri Palla Satyanarayana, Foreman, Steel Melt Shop-1 under Shram Sree category. The award carries a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 60,000 for Shram Vir and Rs 40,000 for Shram Shree categories.
Shri PK Rath, CMD, RINL while congratulating the employees observed that the national recognition bestowed on the employees clearly speaks of their innovation and commitment at the workplace. We are really proud of them, he said.
The Ministry of Labour & Employment, GoI instituted the awards for the workmen in recognition of their outstanding contribution at the workplace and in the society. The awards will be presented to them at a function to be held in Delhi soon.
