Addressing the august gathering, Ms Shukla in her particular address said that Natural Gas shall remain an important energy source for the Indian ecosystem with the Government of India aiming to raise the share of Gas in the energy mix to 15% by 2030.

New Delhi: Smt. Vartika Shukla, C&MD, Engineers India Limited (EIL) delivered the Special Address during the Inaugural Session of Economic Times Energy World Gas Conclave 2022 held in New Delhi during December 5-6, 2022. The inaugural session was graced by eminent thought leaders of the Indian energy sector including Dr. Anil Razdan, former Secretary of, the Ministry of Power and Dr Ashutosh Karnatak, Member (P&NG), APTEL & former CMD, GAIL.
Addressing the august gathering, Ms Shukla in her particular address said that Natural Gas shall remain an important energy source for the Indian ecosystem with the Government of India aiming to raise the share of Gas in the energy mix to 15% by 2030.
“Focused approach towards development and integration of pipeline networks, prudent pricing policy and clearly defined priority sectors for utilization of gas shall help in development and transition towards the gas economy,” she added. Ms Shukla also advocated for a robust and mature Gas Exchange to pave way for a sustainable India.
