New Delhi: The leading Engineering Consultancy and EPC company, Engineers India Limited along with HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Ltd. (HRRL) achieved a major milestone in the Rajasthan Refinery Project with the successful commissioning of the 220 kV switchyard.

The activity was achieved under a final charging milestone by energizing the 220 kV double bus, Power Transformers and 66 kV GIS with available one no. incoming 220 kV line of RVPNL from Balotra, 220 kV grid.

The 220 kV final charging system comprises of 220 kV double bus with other associated equipment, 160 MVA (220 kV/ 66 kV) Power Transformers- 04 Nos (for Refinery Block), 100 MVA (220 kV/ 66 kV) Power Transformers-02 Nos (for Petrochemical Block) and 66 kV GIS Switchboards- 06 Nos. The system is operated through a substation automation system (SAS) from the control room in the substation.
