Dwarka Expressway Incident: Under construction part collapses
After the incident, a Team of NHAI officers, an Authority Engineer and Bridge Experts immediately rushed to the site.
New Delhi: On Wednesday morning a tragic incident happens at the under-construction flyover Of the Dwarka Expressway. It is said that under erection span P8-P9 of the flyover, which is part of Shiv Murti interchange on Dwarka Expressway, toppled around 9.30 AM Today.
According to a report a crane operator responsible for lifting and moving materials died after a span of the under-construction flyover near NH-48 Samalkha to connect Dwarka expressway fell on his crane.

To ascertain the reasons of the incident, a three Member team of Bridge Experts has been constituted. Two Members of team are already inspecting the site and the third Member will reach the site tomorrow morning. The committee would examine all issues in detail and submit a report in four weeks.

It is also mentioned that, the span was being erected and it was reportedly resting on temporary stools and hydraulic jacks. The span was pre-stressed on 2nd June, 2023. The work on this flyover commenced with traffic diversion of NH-48 on 18.03.2023 for a period of 90 days. In this duration, 13 no. of spans were erected.
