DVC to set up three brownfield power plants in India, will invest Rs 600 Billion
The Centre has approved to setup for these plants, also the company is waiting for the approval of other brownfield projects.

New Delhi: Damodar Valley Corporation, a government-owned power generator is going to invest Rs 600 Billion to set up three brownfield Power Plant in India.
The Chairman of the company recently share that DVC would invest the amount over the next seven years to set up these power plants. He mentioned that the combined capacity of these plants would be 8,000 MW.

The Centre has approved to setup for these plants, also the company is waiting for the approval of other brownfield projects.
"We are currently working on the installation of two hydel pump storage and battery-powered plants in Luggu Hill, Gomia, Bokaro (Jharkhand), and Panchet (West Bengal) to generate 2,500 MW" Ram Naresh Singh said.

The company is in line to meet up its targets of producing 7,000 MW of power.
The Chairman said, "We not only supply electricity to states such as Delhi, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal, and Gujarat but also to nations like Bangladesh."
