Durgapur Steel Plant ends March 2022 with the best performance
Durgapur: Durgapur Steel Plant has ended the year 2021-22 with the best performance being registered in all areas of production. All-time best annual production were recorded in the areas of Oven Pushing, Sinter, Crude Steel, Total Caster, BRC, Merchant Mill, MSM, Finished Steel, Saleable Steel, Sp. Steel & value-added products and Saleable Steel Dispatch, Direct Dispatch & WAG9 Loco Wheels. Hot Metal production was at 2.44 MT with 95% APP fulfillment & growth of 7% over CPLY including Crude Steel production at 2.23 MT with 95% APP fulfillment & growth of 7% over the CPLY and Saleable Steel production at 2.12 MT with 94% APP fulfillment & 5% growth over CPLY.
Similar feats were also recorded by DSP in the month of March 2022 with the best monthly performance registered in the areas of Total Sinter, SP-1, Hot Metal, Crude Steel, Total Caster, BRC, Merchant Mill, MSM, Finished Steel, Saleable Steel, Sp. Steel & value-added products and in the dispatch of Saleable Steel, Direct Dispatch & WAG9 Loco Wheels.
DSP continued its chain of other achievements with the successful starting of operation at Battery 3 in Coke Ovens & Coal chemicals after Cold Repair commissioning and successful completion of Shell changing & Hood changing job at Converter 3 & Converter 1 along with several new range of value added products being added to the basket of Durgapur Steel Plant. On this joyous occasion Shri BP Singh, Executive Director (Works) & other senior officials visited works areas of PPCD, Coke-Ovens, RMHP, Sinter Plant, Blast furnace, SMS, MSM, Section Mill, Merchant Mill, Wheel & Axle Plant and congratulated the Team DSP for their stupendous performance for the financial year ending March 2022
