Shri D V Srinivas Rao has assumed charge as Director (Technical) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India on 20 th Sep 2024.
Shri D V Srinivas Rao has assumed charge as Director (Technical) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India on 20 th Sep 2024.
Shri Srinivas Rao brings with him over three decades of extensive experience in the defence sector, having held key leadership roles at BDL. Prior to this prestigious appointment, he served as General Manager (Design & Engineering), where he led the in-house Research and Development (R&D) Division of BDL. During his career, Shri Srinivas Rao has played a pivotal role in spearheading numerous defence projects, many of which are now deployed and extensivelyused by the Indian Armed Forces.

He was also instrumental in establishing the state-of-the-art Electronics Division at BDL, which now produces critical sub-systems for various weapon systems used by India's defence forces.
He is a BTech in Electronics & Instrumentation from Kakatiya University and an MTech in Digital Systems and Computer Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. Subsequently, he has pursued his MBA in Human Resources from Osmania University and is a certified Project Management Professional.
Under his leadership, BDL has earned numerous awards and accolades for its innovative contributions to the nation's defence capabilities. Shri Srinivas Rao’s expertise and vision will continue to drive BDL's technical and operational success as he assumes his new role as Director (Technical).
