Hyderabad: Cyber Jaagrookta Maah was inaugurated with great enthusiasm as a month celebration from 06th to 31st October in MIDHANI in an elaborative manner as mass awareness campaign. The Event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr S K Jha, Chairman & Managing Director, and the special guest Shri K V M Prasad, Asst Commissioner of Police (ACP), Cyber Crime Police Station – Hyderabad City. Shri Gowri Shankar Rao, Director(Finance) and Shri T. Muthukumar, Director(Production & Marketing) and CISO of MIDHANI have graced the occasion.
The dignitaries addressed the gathering comprising of senior officers of MIDHANI.
Chief guest Dr. S K Jha, C&MD spoke about the considerably improved Cyber Security posture of MIDHANI. He also emphasized on availability of sufficient IT infrastructure and entrusted the responsibility to the users to handle it with cyber safe practices. Special Guest Shri K V M Prasad, ACP, discussed various real-time scenarios of cybercrime and frauds occurring in recent days. He shared the tricks cyber criminals are using and enlightened employees to not fall victim of cybercrime.
He also made a point that without human error no cybercrime is possible. Shri Gowri Shankar Rao, Director(Finance) talked about the importance of IT Systems cyber security and also about the considerable importance of Cyber awareness in official as well as personal transactions. Shri T Muthukumar, Director(P & M)& CISO, highlighted DOs and DON'Ts of Cyber Security, Best practices of Mail Security and the importance of safe guarding the Classified Information.
CSO, MIDHANI gave elaborate presentation on MIDHANI Cyber Posture and emphasized upon prompt reporting of unusual cyber activity to the concerned agencies for remedial action.
During the event, dignitaries launched Cyber Security Portal in Intranet of MIDHANI. IT Department declared future plans to celebrate subsequent Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas (CJD) on first Wednesday of every month.
